It seems we are not the only ones planning a Sunday outing. The owner of the Guesthouse is about to embark on a charity run with his Harley Davidson bikie friends. The bikes look quite impressive outside the Guesthouse.

Theresa and I are both being chauffeur driven today as Marc is coming with us for the day.
We are heading down the Cape Peninsula to Boulders Beach to see the African Penguins.
There is a beautiful boardwalk going in two directions from the car park.
They are, of course, the same penguins as the ones in Betty's Bay.
It's easy to see why this place is called Boulders Beach.
There are almost fully grown chicks everywhere. Most couples have two chicks.
This is the lushest plumbago I have ever seen. The hillside is just covered in it.
Until now, it has been overcast. As we start on the other side of the car park, the sun comes out.
There are not just Penguins, but also quite a few Dassies (Rock Hyrax) scampering around.
Can't resist taking a photo of this hairy individual. He ought to make a very pretty butterfly.
We just make it to the car when the next shower of rain comes down. Our next stop is nearby
He looks so lifelike. I can't stop patting him but it doesn't bring him to life.
The weather has fined up again and we are now going in search of some lunch. We drive via Noordhoek up to Chapmans Peak.
This scenic drive gets us to Hout Bay which we can already see from up here.
Hout Bay is a fishing port. There is also a very busy market which we visit briefly. It is too crowded and noisy and we are keen to find some lunch.
Naturally, lunch has to be fish and chips.
Because the weather is now definitely fine and we still have time, we decide to continue on to
The views from up here are quite fabulous, even though Signal Hill is only tiny compared with Table Mountain and Lions Head.
Marc has to do a lot of explaining before I can finally see the lion's head I am supposed to be seeing.
I get it eventually and then I can't believe I didn't see it before.
Lion's Head |
That's Table Mountain in the background - complete with table cloth at the moment.
The water front from Signal Hill and in the distance is home.
And home is exactly where we are going now because the beautiful and eventful Sunday is slowly coming to an end.
More tomorrow.
